Statement of Faith – The Apostles Creed

The Apostles Creed has been used since the beginning of the Christian church to summarize the core beliefs of Christianity. Through the years different denominations have variations on wording so there are many versions. For example the Catholic denomination has the Apostles Creed Prayer which differs somewhat from the Methodist or Protestant Apostles Creed.

Apostles Creed Words

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;

And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
He descended into hades;
The third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Church universal,
the communion of saints,.
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.

Read the Bible

I believe you should go to source material for answers. If you want to know about something important, don’t just accept what someone says or tells you to believe or think. Go to the source for yourself. For me, that source is the Bible. It’s the ultimate cookbook instructions for the recipe of life. It’s where I go for spiritual food that supplies hope, peace, love, security, comfort and direction. It’s like a buffet – there’s something for everyone!
